MOSCOW, Mar 4 (PRIME) --  An exchange fee for the purchases of the U.S. dollar, euro and British pound for the Russian companies with direct access to the foreign exchange market will amount to 12% from Friday but will not be charged on importers, the Moscow Exchange said in a statement.

"By virtue of a ruling by the Central Bank of Russia, the Russian companies having direct access to the foreign exchange market of the Moscow Exchange, shall pay 12% of the deal as a fee for foreign currency (U.S. dollar, euro, British pound) purchases from March 4, 2022," the exchange said.
